  1. Roma S. Brodecki says:

What time does the awards dinner start this year, and what events are being held prior to it?

    • outandequal says:

Hi Roma! Thank you for your question. The Gala Dinner starts at 7pm on Thursday November 6. The Gala Reception starts at 5:30pm and so there is 2 hours after the final workshop session that day and the start of the Reception.

  2. Mary Matthews says:

Hi – Can someone please let me know when the career fair portion of the event will be held? Will exhibitor’s be set-up the entire time or is it set aside on a particular day?

    Thanks, Mary

    • outandequal says:

Hi Mary! There is no career fair as such, but we do have an exhibit hall. The hours are: Tue. Nov. 4, 2014: 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM & 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM | Wed. Nov. 5, 2014 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM | Thu. Nov. 6, 2014 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM

  3. stacy says:

Hi! Are certain workshops offered on certain days? Or will every workshop be offered during every workshop slot on the schedule?

    • outandequal says:

Hi Stacy! The full workshop schedule will be published soon and will be up on-line, but briefly, we have 6 sessions with 14 different workshops per session, 84 different workshops total Also and in addition to the workshops. per session, we have 2 featured panels, 2 roundtables and a global series. The grand total: 114 educational offerings.

  4. Kevin Johns says:

Who is being honored at this year’s Gala Dinner? Is there a link for the dinner for more information?

    • outandequal says:

Hi Kevin! The winners of the Outie Awards have yet to be determined. Our judges are cogitating as I write! Typically, the winners are not pre-announced. So, it’s a surprise. More information about the gala dinner and the entertainment should be posted here or on our brand new website shortly!

  5. Randall Kimble says:

I received an email with the workshops listed and they look like fantastic topics. How do we register for them and when does that take place? I look forward to hearing from you.
    Best Regards,

    • outandequal says:

Hi Randall! If you are registered for the Summit, you do not then have to register for specific workshops, unless you are attending the pre-Summit institutes on Leadership Day.

      • Randall Kimble says:

I am registered for the Summit and for the Leadership Day as well. thanks for the info and see you in November!

  6. Terry Folan says:

What time is the opening reception that occurs on Tuesday evening? Will there be night out/in activities on Wednesday night?

Looking forward to this years summit!

    • outandequal says:

Hi Terry! Thank you for your questions! The Opening reception on Tuesday night is from 5pm – 7pm and starts right after Workshop Session 2 so that folks can flow seamlessly from that to the reception. We will have a special reception on Wednesday night at San Francisco City Hall, early evening and then folks will have a Night Out Guide so that they can sample the many and varied pleasures of the San Francisco LGBT entertainment scene at their own discretion. There are no Night In activities planned for Wednesday, but for those up bright and early on Thursday morning there will be a special Coffee/Tea chat with Armistead Maupin! If you are traveling to San Francisco for the Summit, please remember to cast your absentee ballot for the Nov 4 elections!

  7. Ken says:

Can you tell me about the various (and separate) breakfasts throughout the Summit week?

    • outandequal says:

Hi Ken!Thank you for your question. There are two ticketed breakfasts (separate purchase required) as follows: HR Leadership Ticketed Breakfast

      Wednesday, November 5th
      9:00-10:30 AM

The human resources breakfast brings together human resources and diversity and inclusion leaders to hear from a panel of experts on a hot-button issue affecting human resource practice in the workplace. Following the presentation there will be an interactive Q&A where you will get the answers you need to build a more inclusive workplace.

      Women’s Leadership Breakfast

      Wednesday, November 5th

      9:00-10:30 AM

This year marks the 9th Annual Women’s Leadership Program at the Out & Equal Workplace Summit. Open to everyone, and focused on the achievements of LGBT women leaders in the workplace, this breakfast session offers tremendous opportunities to make valuable connections and learn about the inspiring examples of leadership from within our community. The Women’s Leadership Breakfast will feature an inspirational speaker.
Tickets are $40 for each in advance ($45 at the event – if there are any left) and can be purchased separately or by adding to your existing registration at: https://www.cvent.com/events/2014-out-equal-workplace-summit/registration-a08d211898c644eaa81788d6d7ca833e.aspx
There is also a breakfast for those attending the Leadership Day of intensive seminars on Monday November 3. Again, Leadership Day is a separate purchase and the link above is the way to go for more details.

hi, will there be a place where we can store luggage at the moscone center? I have to head to the airport straight from there.

    • outandequal says:

      Hi Angie,

Moscone Center does not have a place to store luggage. It is highly suggest you go to your hotel and check in or store it there first.

Hope that helps. Let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
